As a member of the Medical/Bio/Healthcare Group, attorney YoungJae CHAE holds the qualification of pharmacist and is a certified medical attorney registered with the Korean Bar Association. Based on his practical experience at the Regulatory Reform Legal Affairs Office of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, he has provided professional legal services across the medical and pharmaceutical fields. In particular, he has broadly experienced medical regulation, licensing, and dispute resolution by also serving as Advisory Attorney for Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Patient Advocate of the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency, and Expert Committee Member of the Korea Institute of Drug Safety and Risk Management. He has also performed numerous cases for medical institutions and medical personnel including medical institution lawsuits, response to drug cost recovery and on-site investigation, license suspension and reissuance, criminal cases of Medical Service Act violation, and hospital licensing and revocation of administrative dispositions, and provides expert advisory on complex issues such as benefit/non-benefit, licensing, clinical trials, R&D, and insurance/liability for pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
