Hello. I have a question regarding investment immigration. I am currently thinking about investment immigration to the United States. Since I have only been thinking about it, I have not yet looked into it properly. So I am very curious about the basics, and I would like to know the qualifications for investment immigration and the documents I need to prepare.

The U.S. investment immigration system focuses its review on the investment itself and the process by which the funds were formed, rather than on the applicant's background.
Therefore, as long as the basic identity requirements are met, an application is possible regardless of age, educational background, work experience, or English proficiency, and the main criterion for judgment is whether one can invest the prescribed amount through lawfully acquired funds.
To prove this, at the stage of remitting the investment funds, a certificate of the source of funds and various financial materials that can substantiate the source of funds are required, and basic identity documents such as a resident registration copy, a copy of the bankbook in which the investment funds are kept, and identification are also submitted.
The mere fact that there is a balance is not enough; the flow from the time the funds were formed until they were remitted as investment funds must be naturally explained in the documents.
In addition, materials proving the overall asset status held by the investment immigration applicant are also important.
A bank balance certificate and transaction statement, a real estate registration copy and related documents, a certificate of outstanding debt balance, a certificate of individually announced land price, a jeonse or lease agreement, and a certificate of stock and insurance balances, among others, are used as grounds supporting the legality of the investment funds and financial stability.
In the case of an employee, documents proving career and income are also prepared.
A certificate of employment and a certificate of career, a certificate of income amount, a withholding receipt for earned income, a certificate of tax payment history, and, if necessary, a corporate registration copy are submitted, through which it is explained that the funds were formed through continuous income-generating activity.
In addition, documents needed for the overall immigration process are also required, such as family relationship documents like a family relationship certificate, a basic certificate, and a marriage relationship certificate, a passport and a copy of the U.S. visa, a certificate of enrollment for children aged 18 or older, a copy of the I-94, a certificate of entry and departure records, a report of criminal investigation history data, overseas background check materials for countries of long-term stay, and visa photographs.
