Under Article 57 (Review of Medical Advertisements) of the Medical Service Act, when a medical practitioner intends to conduct medical advertising using media such as newspapers, periodicals, banners, or electronic display boards, they must have the medical advertisement reviewed in advance by associations such as the Korean Medical Association, the Korean Dental Association, or the Korean Oriental Medical Association regarding whether it violates the provisions of paragraphs 1 through 3 of Article 56. This includes advertisements containing false information or exaggerating objective facts.

In addition, if you conduct medical advertising that exaggerates objective facts without undergoing review, you can be subject to imprisonment of up to 1 year or a fine of up to 10 million won for medical law violation.
