The 2024 Life Sharing Sponsorship Night “Seed of Hope Concert,” hosted by the Korea Life Love Foundation (Chairman Kim Dong-hwa) and organized by the Seed of Hope Supporters Association, was held at the 4th floor convention hall of the Kimdaejung Convention Center on Monday, November 25 at 7 p.m.

The event was graced with the attendance of more than 100 sponsors, including Kim Dong-chan, Vice Chairman of the Gwangju Employers Federation (Chairman of the Seed of Hope Sponsorship), Kim Gwang-jin, former Gwangju City Deputy Mayor for Culture and Economy, Advisory Committee Chairman Ko Gyeong-il, Gwangju City Democracy and Peace Director Park Yong-soo, and Korea Photo Broadcasting Gwangju Branch President Kim Seung-hyun.

In his opening remarks, Kim Dong-chan, chairman of Seeds of Hope Sponsorship, said that he was sorry to hold an event like this in these difficult economic times, and that sharing life is a new beginning for someone else through organ donation, and asked many sponsors to join in.

In his congratulatory address via video, Gwangju Mayor Kang Ki-jeong said, "I am truly grateful to all of you who have participated in the life-sharing movement. Although I cannot present the award in person today, I would like to congratulate Kim Gil-pyo (State, Ssanggyo), Kim Shin (Center Director, Cafe 24 Chonnam National University Branch), Yoon Gyu-mi (Director of Hangu Senior Education Research Institute), and Hwang Gyeong-sook (Director of Gwangju Shinyoung Cultural Center) who will receive the award."

In addition, he said that Gwangju will actively prepare measures to create a social atmosphere for organ donation and to treat organ donors with respect, and hopes that the new year will be even more hopeful.

In his greeting, Chairman Dong-Hwa Kim expressed his gratitude to former Gwang-Jin Kim, Deputy Mayor of Culture and Economy of Gwangju City, and Dong-Chan Kim, Chairman of the Seeds of Hope Sponsorship Association for their kind words. He then expressed his gratitude by listing all of you who are sharing precious lives in our society and the sponsors who attended to brighten this event.

On this day, Chairman Kim appointed Go Kyung-il (Honam Ilbo, Honam Ed), Kim Byeong-woo (CEO of Honam Ilbo), Kim Kyeong-eun (Representative Attorney at Inui Law Firm), Kwak Min-seop (Attorney at Daeryun Law Firm), Hwang Hye-yeon (Gwangju Senior Vice-Chairman of the National Rights Party Member Council of the Democratic Party), and Park Jong-im (CEO of Taipyeong Nursing Hospital) as advisory committee members.

Chairman Kim then presented appreciation plaques to Choi Ki-young (Buk-gu Council Member of Gwangju City) and Park Nam-gyu (Head of Gwangju Bank Hanam Industrial Complex 2 Financial Center), and Ssanggyo/Ssanggyo Charcoal Grilled Ribs, Gwangju Bank, and Bityeoul Forum delivered donations to Chairman Kim.

In Part 2, Connecting Life (Story), a moving video of the brain-dead organ donation story of 7-year-old Park Min-gyu (1st grader at Suyeong Elementary School in Busan) was shown to attendees, showing the need for interest and love in organ donation.

In the Planting Hope (performance) that followed, the male quartet group [Cross for Man] performed five songs including ‘Happy Day’, and the female three-member group [Ruby] performed ‘Toast Song’ and three other songs. As the last song, everyone came out together to sing ‘Champions’ to liven up the atmosphere with the attendees, ending the event.

Korea Life Love Foundation is a designated donation organization designated by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance as an organ transplant registration and tissue donor registration agency designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
