Acts of taking control of and managing a person, while delivering that person to a third party, for the purpose of having them sell sex or engage in obscene acts, or of making them the subject of photographs or video footage depicting obscene content such as sexual acts, by means of deception, force, or other methods equivalent thereto
Acts of providing or promising to provide money, goods, or other property benefits, such as advance payments, and taking control of and managing a person while delivering that person to a third party, as well as acts of recruiting, moving, or concealing a person for the purpose of such acts
If a person, in violation of the above prohibitions, engages in prostitution or in the arrangement of prostitution and similar acts, they are subject to the punishment prescribed in the criminal statutes.
A person who has engaged in prostitution is subject to imprisonment for not more than one year, or a fine of not more than three million won, detention, or a minor fine.
Regardless of whether a person who engaged in the arrangement of prostitution and similar acts received compensation for the arrangement, the act of arranging prostitution itself is punishable by imprisonment for not more than three years or a fine not exceeding thirty million won.
However, if a person engaged in the arrangement of prostitution and similar acts as a business, or in exchange for compensation for the arrangement, they are subject to aggravated punishment of imprisonment for not more than seven years or a fine not exceeding seventy million won.
