Daeryun Law Firm and Medicos Biotech MOU for ‘Biohealth Global Market Legal Support’
2025-09-17

Legal stability within the bio industry and cooperation in entering the global market
Daeryun “We will become a key strategic partner in responding to legal risks in the global market”
Daeryun Law Firm announced on the 17th that it signed an MOU with Medicos Biotech, a biomaterial developer, to ensure legal stability in the bio and beauty industry and advance into the global market.
At the signing ceremony held at Daeryun's Seoul office on the 11th, Daeryun's CEO Kim Kuk-il, lawyer Son Dong-hu, and Daeryun's U.S. attorneys Kyle Courtnall and Tal Hirshberg attended, while Medicos Biotech's CEO Kim Sun-cheol was present.
Medicos Biotech Co., Ltd. is a specialized company that develops functional biomaterials and possesses source technologies based on stem cells and immune cells. It has accumulated global-level R&D capabilities in various fields such as anti-aging, immunity enhancement, and skin regeneration. In particular, we are continuously expanding our export base centered on the Asian and North American markets based on medical beauty, functional health food, and pharmaceutical bio convergence solutions. Recently, we are beginning to enter the global health tech market through the development of a customized healthcare platform based on precision medicine technology and AI analysis.
Daeryun Law Firm provides a variety of legal advice, including medical dispute mediation, administrative litigation, new medical technology evaluation, and non-face-to-face treatment, focusing on medical pharmaceutical groups with many lawyers with doctor and pharmacist qualifications.
In particular, bio startups often have difficulty obtaining advice necessary for business operations, such as legal, labor, tax, and accounting, and Daeryun supports bio startups in various ways through a total program.
Through this MOU, the two organizations will cooperate domestically and internationally, including ▲diagnosing and advising on legal risks related to functional biomaterials and medical beauty technology, ▲consulting on establishing a bio data and personal information protection system and responding to international regulations, ▲advising on overseas licensing strategies such as the FDA and EMA and connecting with global partnership networks, ▲raising global legal awareness and proposing policies in the biohealth field by holding joint seminars and forums, and ▲labor, tax, and accounting advice required for business operations. We plan to pursue the task.
Kim Soon-cheol, CEO of Medicos Biotech, said, “Commercialization of biotechnology must not only be based on scientific grounds, but also ensure legal credibility that meets international standards.” He added, “Through this agreement, we will further solidify the commercialization of the technology not only in Korea but also in major global markets such as the U.S. and Europe.”
Kim Kuk-il, CEO of Daeryun Law Firm, said, “Legal risk management in the global market is key in the bio industry due to regulatory differences between countries and complex licensing procedures,” and added, “Daeryun will work with Medicos Biotech as a strategic partner beyond legal partnership to ensure that its innovative capabilities achieve stable and sustainable growth at home and abroad.”
