Hello. Military law attorney, I am currently serving as a social service worker. But I overslept.. and received a warning for unauthorized tardiness... I feel quite pathetic about myself... Could you tell me what disadvantages I would face if I receive a warning during service? And generally, are there cases other than unauthorized tardiness in which one receives a warning?

Hello. This is a military law attorney at Daeryun Law LLC.
A social service worker receives a warning disposition when certain grounds exist, such as failing to comply with legitimate work orders or neglecting their duties.
Each time a warning is received, the service period is extended by five days.
For example, if a worker receives eight or more warnings for reasons such as unauthorized tardiness, unauthorized early departure, or leaving the workplace, the head of the service institution files an accusation with the competent investigative agency, and the worker may be subject to imprisonment for up to one year.
After receiving a criminal disposition, the worker must serve the remaining service period again.
Specifically, acts subject to a warning disposition include obstructing work or inciting negligence, violating the prohibition on political campaigning, committing cruel acts against other social service workers or social service users, holding unauthorized dual positions, drinking, gambling, or engaging in disorderly conduct during work, accessing information without proper authority, and arriving late, leaving early, or leaving without justification during working hours, as well as being absent from training without authorization.
Therefore, if you receive a warning for unauthorized tardiness caused by oversleeping, your service period will be extended, and if the warnings are repeated, you may even face serious criminal punishment, so it is advisable to be particularly careful.
