When an issue of school violence is raised, an initial review is first conducted, led by the school's dedicated response body.

As soon as the principal becomes aware of the matter, the principal directs a verification of the facts regarding the alleged offense and harm, and the dedicated school violence response body comprehensively reviews whether the case qualifies for resolution by the principal.

Based on the findings of the investigation, the dedicated response body organizes its opinion on how the case should proceed and reports it to the principal.

The principal then decides, on this basis, whether to conclude the matter through resolution by the principal or to refer it to the School Violence Countermeasures Deliberation Committee.

In addition, apart from investigating individual cases, the dedicated response body carries out school violence prevention activities and status surveys, and when necessary, the results of such surveys may be used as reference material in subsequent procedures.

In a school violence case, the level of measures imposed on the offending student and whether a record is kept may vary depending on the determination made at the initial investigation stage, so organizing the facts and responding strategically from the earliest stage is important.
