1. Complaint for Intimidation | The Client's Account
This is the account of a client who sought an attorney's assistance, saying that a complaint for intimidation was needed.
The client explained that she was being threatened and stalked by a former partner and pleaded to be rescued from this living nightmare.
The attorney set out to understand the case in order to resolve the client's matter.

The client explained that she had been in a relationship with the former partner for about ten years, then broke up due to differences in personality, and has since met a good person, started a family, and has two children.
However, the former partner had continually demanded that they get back together, even before the client married her current husband.
Unable to withstand the persistent contact, the client met with the former partner several times even after her marriage.
After that, the former partner threatened to tell the client's husband everything, so she had no choice but to meet whenever the former partner demanded.
In addition, when the client did not answer, the former partner left hundreds of messages or came to her home, engaging in stalking.
Troubled by this, the client could no longer endure it and sought an attorney's assistance to file a complaint for intimidation.
2. Complaint for Intimidation | The Former Partner's Charges
The charges against the former partner, against whom the client intended to file a complaint for intimidation, were two: intimidation and stalking. Each of these and the applicable punishment are reviewed below.
Complaint for Intimidation | The Crime of Intimidation
Intimidation refers to the crime of threatening another person into performing some act.
The client's former partner threatened to tell the client's husband that she had met with him, forcing her to keep meeting him.
The crime of intimidation applied to the former partner, who could be subject to the following punishment.
Complaint for Intimidation | The Crime of Stalking
Stalking refers to acts such as following another person against that person's will, waiting nearby and watching, or causing messages and other content to reach that person through an information and communications network.
The crime of stalking refers to carrying out these stalking acts repeatedly and persistently.
When the client's former partner was refused a meeting, he called and texted hundreds of times and even came to her home, so the crime of stalking applied, and he could be subject to the following punishment.
3. Complaint for Intimidation | The Attorney's Assistance
The attorney handled the client's complaint for intimidation and submitted a victim's representative opinion containing the following.
▶The client had not received a single word of apology from the former partner.
▶The former partner showed no remorse or sign of repentance and had a high likelihood of reoffending.
▶Not only the client but also her family members were being harmed.
▶The client's family members submitted a petition for severe punishment.
4. Complaint for Intimidation | The Result of the Attorney's Assistance

As a result of the attorney's assistance with the complaint for intimidation, the client's former partner was indicted and brought before the court.
🔗Intimidation and 🔗Stalking cases often result in a non-referral decision at the police stage.
The attorney defended the client's case, obtained an indictment against the perpetrator, and ensured that the court left the former partner with a criminal record.
