The client explained that, because of a transfer to another region within his workplace, he had been living apart from his wife as a weekend couple for the past four years.

Although his weekend visits home were brief, the client had always done his best to protect his family, taking trips and bringing gifts for his wife and children.

The client's wife generally enjoyed gaming.

While gaming, however, she met the adulterous partner as a guild member, and the two grew close through gaming and ended up having an affair.

While looking through an unused spare phone, the client saw that it was logged in to a Google account, and inside it he found that his wife had exchanged messages about the affair with the person she had been gaming with (the adulterous partner).

The client explained that, on seeing those messages, he felt as if he had been struck on the head with a large rock.

He explained that at first he could not believe it and rechecked several times in case the account had been hacked, but the messages had indeed been sent by his wife, and when he confronted her, she admitted everything.

The client initially considered holding only his wife accountable and letting the matter pass, but in that moment the faces of his two children came to mind.

For the sake of the children, he resolved that he should not let the wrongdoing pass without holding anyone to account, and after long deliberation, he came to us to hold the adulterous partner responsible.

We sent the adulterous partner a certified letter of demand regarding the claim for damages, but he retained counsel and denied everything.

He claimed that he had met the client's wife only once and that, although they had gone into a lodging establishment, because he had to leave early the next morning, they each slept separately, one on the bed and the other on the sofa.

He also explained that the lewd talk he had exchanged with the wife while gaming was merely racy joking between close friends and carried no other intent.

On hearing the adulterous partner's brazen lies, the client grew even more outraged and urged that the damages claim be won.

In response, we promised to assist him wholeheartedly and then prepared the claim for damages.

We prepared three arguments for the client.

First, when the client learned of the affair and confronted his wife, she admitted everything.

We submitted as evidence a written statement in which the wife acknowledged all of the facts and undertook to bear full responsibility.

Second, among the lewd talk that the adulterous partner referred to, there were more than 100 messages suggesting that sexual intercourse had taken place.

As a rebuttal to the adulterous partner's claim that "we stayed together at a lodging establishment but had no sexual contact," we submitted the lewd messages as evidence.

This content suggested that sexual intercourse had taken place, and we argued that misconduct had occurred by proving the fact that they even arranged to meet again.

Third, we argued that the adulterous partner knew that the client's wife was a married person, that he denied all wrongdoing, that he had broken up a family, and that he showed no remorse.

Looking at the conversation between the adulterous partner and the client's wife, there was a message in which she disclosed that she was married. This was clear evidence that he could have known the other person was married.

We also explained that when we sent the certified letter of demand to the adulterous partner, he offered no apology or remorse to the client and his family, and instead denied every act.
