However, no reward is paid if a public official reports, accuses, or arrests in connection with their duties.

To receive the reward, you must submit a reward payment application to the Minister of Justice via the head of the competent district public prosecutor's office.

The reward is paid when the prosecutor files an indictment or makes a suspension of indictment disposition against the offender, and is paid within the case-by-case ceiling based on the sum of the additional collection amount and the domestic wholesale price of confiscated items, or the sum of the expected additional collection amount and the domestic wholesale price of seized items.

Even if the offender is not arrested but only the drugs are seized, the reward can be received within the ceiling, with a minimum of 1 million won and a maximum of 300 million won.
