The legal industry as a whole has been placing greater emphasis on the importance of public-interest activities and on transparency and accountability in legal services, and calls are growing for self-correction of inappropriate case-acceptance and advertising practices.

In particular, cases in which certain law firms or attorneys take on cases through advertising that exaggerates former-official influence or inflates positions held with the Bar Association or local bar associations, and then deceive their clients, have increased — fueling broader social concern.

Daeryun Law Firm believes that, as a major and global law firm, it has a duty to respond to this social demand, correct the irregularities in the Korean legal community, and help build a healthy order in the legal market.   ① Victims of law firms using illegal or exaggerated former-official-influence advertising

  Cases where you contracted after seeing illegal or exaggerated advertising emphasizing former-official influence, and then suffered harm such as the firm becoming unreachable, mishandling the case, or refusing to refund fees

  ② Victims of law firms using illegal or exaggerated "new" former-official-influence advertising

  Cases where you were deceived by similar former-official-influence advertising that touts current or past leadership / officer positions at the Bar Association or local bar associations, and suffered harm such as the firm becoming unreachable, mishandling the case, or refusing to refund fees

  ③ Victims of law firms with repeated criminal or unlawful conduct

  Cases where an attorney or law firm has committed criminal acts or unlawful acts against clients or opposing parties in the course of duty, yet repeats similar acts and deceives clients, causing further harm

  ④ Other victims of improper legal services

  All cases where, even without specific illegal or exaggerated advertising, you suffered harm after the case was accepted — such as the attorney avoiding contact, neglecting or mishandling the case, or refusing to refund fees

  ⑤ Public-interest whistleblowers regarding acts that undermine the legal-market order

  Cases where you wish to report matters that may damage order in the legal market — such as misconduct by law firms or attorneys, political collusion, suspected tax evasion, internal misconduct of the Bar Association, suspected violations of the Attorney-at-Law Act, unlawful case brokering, suspected improper external relationships, or other criminal acts related to case acceptance and handling
