I run a bread machine manufacturing company. A few years ago, at an acquaintance's request, I made and sold bread machines with their trademark attached. But one day they delayed payment and stopped answering calls, so I stopped manufacturing. Now they're suing me for trademark infringement, claiming I infringed their trademark. How should I respond to this kind of charge? Is the punishment level high?
