Q
In what cases does detention for a sex crime occur?
I have been reported in an indecent act by compulsion case, and since this is my first time in such a situation, I was truly very frightened. So when I searched around on the internet, it said I could be detained. In what cases does detention for a sex crime occur? And please also tell me the level of punishment for an indecent act by compulsion. Thank you.

Can the punishment for an indecent act by compulsion be reduced through a settlement for an indecent act by compulsion?
Recently I was placed under investigation on a charge of indecent act by compulsion, and I am very worried about how severe the criminal punishment will be. I was told to try to reach a settlement with the victim, and I wonder whether the punishment for an indecent act by compulsion can actually change depending on whether a settlement is reached. I would like to know whether reaching a settlement for an indecent act by compulsion always results in leniency, or whether it is only partly reflected in the sentence.

If a charge of rape causing injury is applied, is a custodial sentence unconditional?
I have heard a lot that rape causing injury carries a heavy sentence, so I am very worried that it may be difficult to avoid a custodial sentence. I acknowledge that the other party was injured at the time of the incident, but I did not inflict the injury intentionally, and I think part of the situation has been exaggerated. I would like to know whether, if a charge of rape causing injury is applied, a custodial sentence is really imposed unconditionally, and whether there is no possibility at all of a suspended sentence or a reduction of sentence.

If I reach a settlement before the police investigation for obscenity via telecommunication media, can I avoid punishment?
I recently received contact from the police saying that a report had been filed for an obscene act using a telecommunication medium. The schedule for the police investigation for obscenity via telecommunication media has not yet been set, but I am curious whether, if I reach a settlement with the other party before the investigation, I can conclude the case without being punished. I would also like to know how a settlement actually affects the outcome of the investigation and whether there is anything I must know before the investigation.

Can an act done in the belief that one was alone still constitute public indecency?
I did something inappropriate thinking there was no one around, but afterward I was told that I have to undergo an investigation because someone reported it. At the time, I thought there was no one nearby, and I had no intention whatsoever of letting anyone see. I wonder whether public indecency can be established even in such a case. I do not recall being seen by anyone, so I would like to know whether it is still a problem and whether the situation changes if there is CCTV or a dashcam.

Even though a video filmed with my boyfriend's consent was distributed, is punishment for a digital sex crime possible?
I have a question regarding punishment for digital sex crimes. While I was dating my now former boyfriend, we filmed a video of sexual relations by mutual consent. However, I recently learned that the video is being distributed online. I consented to the filming itself, but I never gave permission to send it to others or post it on the internet. I was told that if I consented to the filming, I bear some responsibility as well. Even in such a case, is punishment for a digital sex crime possible?

Indecent act by compulsion attorney, can the offense of forcible indecent act be established even where someone was forced to do a love shot?
Indecent act by compulsion attorney, my company's CEO forcibly told me to do a love shot with him.. But I do not drink, and I did not want to do it, so I refused several times. Then the CEO made a threat, so I had no choice but to do it, and I saw somewhere that this too could constitute an indecent act by compulsion? Does the offense of forcible indecent act really apply?

I was subjected to workplace sexual molestation and want to report it to the police.
Hello. I am a woman in my thirties. I am considering reporting to the police because I was subjected to workplace sexual molestation at the company I work for, so I am leaving this inquiry. I currently work at a small company with about seven employees, and a department head at the company repeatedly touched my thigh area. At first, I was so flustered that I could not respond properly, but even after I clearly expressed several times that it made me uncomfortable, he continued. So I want to report the workplace sexual molestation to the police. Can I simply report it to the police directly? This is the first time this has happened to me.

Sex crimes attorney, does secretly filming a woman's legs on a bus also constitute a sex crime?
Sex crimes attorney, I filmed the legs of an unfamiliar woman who was sleeping on a bus. I was reported for a sex crime over this, but I did not commit an indecent act by compulsion; I just took a photo once, so does this also constitute a sex crime? It seems I was reported for something like illegal filming using a camera... Is this also a type of sex crime?
