Just because you are a soldier does not mean military criminal law is automatically applied and aggravated punishment is given.

Punishment under military criminal law for military sex crimes only applies to crimes specified in the Military Criminal Act.

The current Military Criminal Act does not have specific provisions for punishing prostitution acts, so even if a soldier engages in prostitution, the general Prostitution Punishment Act applies, not the Military Criminal Act.
