The Cheonan branch of the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office issued a decision not to indict a driver, identified as A, who had been under investigation on suspicion of causing an accident while changing lanes and then fleeing. Yoon Da-som, an attorney at Daeryun Law Firm, said, "In a non-contact accident occurring immediately after a lane change, the key issue is whether the driver was aware of the accident," adding, "By legally demonstrating that, taking into account the motorcycle's traveling speed, the nature of the accident, and the subsequent driving behavior, there was ample possibility that our client was not aware of the cause of the accident, we were able to obtain a decision not to indict."
